As an accomplished author, Ms. Allette enjoys talking with book club members and other audiences about her books. Notably, her two biographies for children about the Obamas are used in schools in Europe and the USA. Her poems are published in an Anthology of Caribbean Poetry, and she has written a textbook for Middle/High School children on the life of Henrietta Lacks.

Ms. Allette is passionate about capturing the beauty and essence in every piece of art she creates. As an artist, each piece is created and infused with the intention of bringing light and joy to the viewer. She finds inspiration through being immersed in nature and her homeland of Grenada. When home, she finds herself captivated by the sunrises and sunsets, and these foster her creativity and imagination. You can just imagine the palm trees swaying in the breeze to the sound of the gently lapping ocean waves. She aims to share this inspiration through her art. She aspires for her art to be transformative ~ to draw you into a world of beauty and inspiration ~ where, as Thomas Merton suggests, you can both find yourself and lose yourself at the same time. From original paintings to adorn your walls, to the practical beauty infused into reclaimed chairs and mosaic jewelry boxes, Ms. Allette's art is also designed with functionality in mind. Whether she is creating a painting, cards, textile art, ceramics, or mosaics, each piece tells a unique and fascinating story.
